A SAFE PLACE TO EXPLORE YOUR INNER WORLD WITH COMPASSION & CURIOUSITY.
About Us
Carolyn DeMiro Counseling Collective is a collaborative private practice built around the belief that meaningful therapy is strengthened by connection, curiosity, and continued growth. Our clinicians bring their own areas of expertise and therapeutic styles while working together through regular case consultation, advanced training, and ongoing education. We are committed to thoughtful, individualized care that honors each client’s story, relationships, and goals while drawing from the collective knowledge and experience of our team.
Meet the Founder, Carolyn DeMiro, LPC.
“Whether in individual or relational work, I view healing as a process of reconnection—first with self, then with others.”
I’m Carolyn DeMiro, a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. I work mostly with complex and developmental trauma, relational and betrayal trauma, family-of-origin issues, attachment wounds, enmeshment, and sex and love addiction.
I’m a relational therapist, and I don’t believe insight alone is enough. Most people I work with already understand a lot about why they do what they do. The harder part is what happens when those old patterns get activated in real relationships - when boundaries get blurry, intimacy gets complicated, or you find yourself reacting in ways you thought you had already worked through.
I pay close attention to where those patterns began and how they are still playing out now. My work is direct, curious, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through relationship, not just by talking about the past.
I’ve participated in clinical consultation groups led by Dr. Ken Adams, and his work around enmeshment and family systems has shaped how I understand these dynamics. I also draw from Interpersonal Neurobiology and use Post-Induction Therapy in my work with sex and love addiction.
I’m currently pursuing certification in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) for my work with complex and developmental trauma.
I’m less interested in helping people become better at explaining their patterns and more interested in helping them respond differently when those patterns get activated.
-
We help match clients with the therapist whose experience, style, and areas of focus best align with their needs.
-
Our practice is intentionally collaborative. Our therapists meet monthly for case consultation, allowing each clinician to benefit from the perspective, experience, and expertise of the entire practice while maintaining appropriate client confidentiality.
Continuous learning is also one of our highest values. As a team, we are committed to ongoing training, advanced education, and bringing thoughtful, evolving approaches into our work with clients.
-
Our clinicians work with a range of concerns including trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, attachment issues, betrayal, grief, and life transitions. Areas of specialization vary by therapist.
-
Therapy begins with an extensive 90-minute intake session. This gives you and your therapist time to explore your history, current concerns, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy while beginning to develop a thoughtful treatment plan tailored to you.
-
The 90-minute intake session is $300. Ongoing individual therapy sessions are $225 per session.
-
We are a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. We can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your individual plan and benefits.
-
Availability varies by therapist. We offer both in-person and telehealth options when appropriate.
-
Contact our practice and tell us a little about what you are looking for. We will help connect you with the therapist who may be the best fit for your needs.
